Attendance
Attendance
At Chilwell Croft Academy we recognize the link between attainment and attendance. We are committed to ensuring the best possible learning outcomes for all of our pupils and as such we seek to ensure our pupils attend school regularly and on time every day.
Attendance is a high priority at Chilwell Croft Academy. There is an attendance team which is involved with monitoring and raising the standard of attendance. Parents are informed of attendance via letters, phone calls, meetings and school newsletters. The Head teacher regularly reports on attendance to the governing body.
We expect parents to ensure that their child attends school every day unless they are ill. On the first day of absence, you need to inform the school of the reason by telephoning the school office by 9:00 AM on: 0121 464 3402
Parents should not arrange medical and dental appointments in school time wherever possible, however we do appreciate hospital appointments are an exception to this rule.
Parents must not book holidays during term time, these will not be authorised.
Punctuality:
We expect the children to be on time for school every day. Please ensure that your child arrives at school in good time for the start of the day. You do have the option of dropping off your child at Breakfast Club which starts at 8:00 am to 8:40 am.
School starts at 8:40 am and the school gate closes at 8:55 am.
