Sports Stars

Year 3 & 4

Year 3 & 4 children have created a series of images of sports stars – those that have all achieved greatness in their chosen sport.

The sports star portraits were created using ink and pencil, with the children initially producing a line drawing with ink, before applying pencil (of various grades) to create the tone.

The final eight artworks each include a motivational quote they said about being successful in their sport.

The sports stars are, as follows:

Larry Bird, basketball player

Michael Jordan, basketball player

Billie Jean King, tennis player

Carl Lewis, athlete

Pele, football player

Michael Phelps, swimmer

Mark Spitz, swimmer

Serena Williams, tennis player
